Shane Elliott Reed, 42, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2024 in Oklahoma City, following a courageous bout with cancer.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a future date.
Shane Elliott Reed, born on December 17, 1981, in Altus, to Raymond Earl Reed and Glenda Louise (Henson) Caldwell, spent his early years in Mountain Park. He attended school in Snyder and later in Chattanooga. Shane had a passion for working in and around law enforcement, with his most recent position being a security guard at a prison. Shane married Denise Mae Furnish in 2015 in Lawton.
Shane was a man of many interests. He loved the outdoors, spending time hunting and fishing, and had a passion for motorcycles, often involving himself in motorcycle clubs. He also enjoyed the thrill of bull riding. Above all, Shane cherished his time with his children and took great joy in being with them.
His adventurous spirit and deep love for his family will be remembered by all who knew him.
Shane is survived by his wife Denise Mae Reed, their three children, Tristen Collier, Maddox Reed, and Serenity Reed, and Shane’s son, Dakota Reed, his mother, Glenda Louise Caldwell of Oklahoma City, two sisters, Diana Denham and husband James of Oklahoma City, and Delana Reed of Snyder, and other family members.
Shane is preceded in death by his father, stepfather, Don Caldwell, and maternal grandmother, Ruby Henson.
